We will cut through the beautiful streets of Edinburgh's historic new and old town, pointing out places of significance and making lots of stops. See Edinburgh from the locals perspective.
Arthur's seat is Edinburgh’s most famous Volcanic feature, our own mountain, set in the center of our city. Stunning to look at, even better to look out from over Edinburgh's frantic skyline.
Duddingston Village is the location of the bishop's residence and the oldest - still running - pub in Scotland, The Sheep Heid. Duddingston also has beautiful hidden botanic gardens. Shhhh! Don’t tell.
Carlton Hill is another epic panoramic viewpoint of Edinburgh's skyline. There is no doubt you will be snapping pictures up here until your fingers get numb. Nb: McScotland tour is not responsible for any loss or damage to fingers due to excessive photo taking!
Dean Village is a picturesque, tranquil, and historic former milling hamlet nestled in a steep, leafy gorge along the Water of Leith just minutes from Edinburgh's city centre. Renowned for its fairytale appearance, it features 17th-century stone cottages, cobblestone paths, and the iconic, red-sandstone Well Court. It is a highly sought-after, scenic residential area perfect for walking, birdwatching, and photography.
South Queensferry is the last stop. Saving the best till last? Well, in my opinion, Yes. These 3 fantastic bridges span the river Fourth, connecting the central belt to the north. They were each built in a different century and therefore each tell their own stories. South Queensferry is cracking too. Get yourself an ice cream and some fresh sea air.
Then we will toodle back to Edinburgh to drop you at your hotel or place of your choosing.
