Incredible tour with unforgettable guide

"We had the lovely opportunity to tour the Highlands with Roland earlier this month, and there are simply not enough words to fully convey how incredible and special Roland made that trip. He is the Scottish treasure in just about every way - his enthusiasm, selflessness, humor, thoughtfulness, and (of course) deep knowledge of Scottish history, culture, and geography made our time there one we will never forget. He truly knew how to tailor the tour to exactly what we needed at a specific day or even hour, expertly guiding us to hidden gems and well-scoped activities along the way. Getting to spend our tour with him was almost as magical as everything we saw along the way. We are truly not sure if we will ever have a better guide in our lives, he is truly just that great. We will always be so grateful to him for his time, energy, and heart - we will never forget him!"

A magical 3 day trip to Skye

"We just finished the most informative, magical and fun 3 day trip from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye with Roland. From the minute Roland picked us up at our hotel attired in full authentic, Scottish attire we knew we were in for a treat. We learned so much about Scottish history and this beautiful country; laughed at all of Roland’s stories and his many impressions and were enthralled by his beautiful singing voice. Best of all was this trip was so personalized-seeing all the sites but without the crowds and finding that little special nook. Ask for Roland as your guide, you will not be disappointed!"

A Wondrous 2 day, Inverness tour.

My wife and I scheduled a tour of Scotland beginning in Edinburgh.

Roland was our driver and tour guide while we were in Scotland.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Roland, his knowledge/expertise.

He did a great job.

Here’s why I say this:

  1. He was always on time which for me means he was early.

  2. He was always polite and courteous.

  3. He made an effort to get to know us and what we were interested in and he tailored his guiding to our interests which in essence gave us a custom tour.

  4. My wife has a mild handicap and Roland always took every consideration with her.

  5. We met as tour operator and clients and left as friends.

If you want an incredible experience and life long memories,

Roland will exceed your expectations.

Rassay Rona and Skye from mainland new.jpg

This picture was taken on an amazing summers day. I was leading a tour of 4 visitors around what is known as the axe head, looking west, across the Sound of Rassay, towards the majestic Isle of Skye from the Scottish mainland. Soon after we found a lovely lunch in a nearby village called Applecross. Nb: Some of the earliest evidence of human habitation in the UK has been found at Applecross from over 10,000 years ago. After lunch and a few cold drinks we drove over the highest road in Britain, called the Bealach na Ba. The tunes were on, air con cranked and smiles all round. Another wonderful day out in Bonnie Scotland . . . This is my office !!  Lucky me...
